Marilyn A. Spinks, 81, of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday June 04, 2010 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She was born in Dallas, TX to the late Ernest Thomas and Ruth Prescott Maxwell. Prior to moving to Murfreesboro, she retired from the Prince George County School System. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. Mrs. Spinks is preceded in death by her parents, son, Jimmy Spinks and grandson, Jesse Spinks. She is survived by her husband, Darwin Spinks of Murfreesboro; son, Tom Spinks of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Michael and Danny Spinks; great grandchildren, Maggie and Jackie Spinks; daughter in law, Mary Spinks of Middletown, NY; sisters, Carole Maxwell Parrott (James) of Smyrna, Patricia Maxwell Wood (Mike Corkill) of Dallas, TX, Linda Maxwell Witmer (Chris) of Texarkana, AR; brother, David Thomas Maxwell of Manassas, VA.
Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 10:00 am until the Memorial Service at 11:00 am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Polk and Bro. Harold Smith officiating.
