Testimonials

As soon as I walked through the door of Murfreesboro Funeral Home & Cremation Services, that a peace came over me and I knew this was what I wanted for my mother. The respect and compassion I was shown, I knew thats what my mother would have. I can't say enough about everything that Lisa Spry and her staff did to make me and my family as comfortable as possible during this difficult time. I would definitely recommend those persons who have not made up their minds of whom they want to help them make "final decisions" for themselves and/or loved ones, Murfreesboro Funeral Home by far should be their choice expecially if they keep the same compassion as they have now.

Words cannot fully express my thanks for the understanding, compassion, and patience shown to me during my darkest time by Mrs. Spry and the staff of Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Their efforts made a horrible experience as bearable as it possibly could be and for that I will always be grateful.

We know that there are a number of facilities to choose from and the fact that you entrust us with this great honor is never taken lightly. Your feedback is not only welcomed but greatly appreciated. We have heard statements like, "The funeral directors are very nice and caring" or "the facility was very nice and comfortable".
--- What People Are Saying

Dear Lisa & Allen,

Thank you so much for handling the funeral arrangements for my father, Bruce Scott. Planning a memorial service must be unbelievably stressful. It is such a huge turning point in the lives of so many. A multitude of emotions are involved and the service is remembered forever by those left behind. You were very professional, and yet so caring and supportive during this difficult time.
I am amazed at how Murfreesboro Funeral Home goes “outside the box” to take care of families. Your website/guestbook is a beautiful tribute and a great way for people to express their emotions. It is also a great way for people who live far away to let the families know they are being thought of even if they can’t make it to the service.
Also, not only do the families have the onslaught of emotions to deal with, but we also have the reality of the legal responsibilities that accompany a loved one’s passing. The counseling and notebook that you gave us was priceless. There were many things brought to our attention that I’m not sure we would have had the presence of mind to think of otherwise. It is such a complicated process and such an emotional time. You answered so many questions and helped guide us through this process when we were overwhelmed.
The 800 number that you gave us for grief counseling was also extremely helpful. There are times when it can all become too much and you need more than a family member or friend to talk to. It definitely helps to check in with a professional and see that the troubling feelings you are having is a normal progression of the stages of grief. I have never heard of a funeral home providing either of these last two services and they are invaluable.
Thank you for your caring, compassion and gentle guidance. I felt like you took care of and respected my father as if he were a member of your own family. We were very fragile as well, and you made us feel comfortable and safe trusting you. My family greatly appreciates everything that you have done. You helped us plan what turned out to be a beautiful tribute to a wonderful man.

Warm Regards,
Tammy Scott Amendola
