PHIL, DAVID, KAREN & SCOTT -- ON BEHALF OF THE WHOLE MESSER FAMILY....WE ARE ALL SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. WE KNOW THERE IS SO MANY MILES BETWEEN US BUT, YOU ARE ALL VERY CLOSE IN OUR HEARTS. Dear Family, I would like to express my condolences to you all. I worked with Don at Armstrong for over ten years. I was his electrical engineer at the Marietta carpet plant and all the carpet plants in the Dalton Area. I never worked for or with a finer man or engineer. He was always fair, honest and supportive. Several times my wife and I brought Lancaster county corn to your parents and we would have a corn roast at their home outside of Dalton. Great memories

I was 25, working with Armstrong for 1 1/2 years, and I was transferred to Dalton to work with Don and his team. It was one of the best experiences of my life. Don was a gem, who not only taught me how to be a better engineer, but how to be a better person. I am so sorry to read of his passing. Kathy Knouse Myers
