Maxine: Margaret and I were in North Carolina all last week. I have started going through the old DNJ papers and just read that we lost Dick last Monday. I am so sorry we were not in town for the funeral. I hope you know how much Margaret and I thought of you and Dick. He was always such a fun and outgoing gentleman. I always looked forward to seeing him on Sunday mornings at church. You are such an upbeat and "ray of sunshine" in the halls of FBC when I see you with the children. Please know that Dick will be missed and you and your family will remain in our hearts and prayers.

A lot of childhood memories I have of the Kovic family. I attended Owosso schools with Dick from Bryant to High School. We grew up on the southside of the tracks together. I will always remember Dick and Gary Taylor in their frequent bare-knuckle fist fights. They were close and it seemed that all fights ended in a Draw. I had lost track of them both thru the years. Dick did well with his life. He will be missed! His Mother always had his friends come in their home. I don't recall seeing his father very much but he was also very nice to visit when he was home from work

Dick an I were very good friends in high school. I, unfortunately, lost touch with him shortly after high school but remember the good times. He was a good man and I am very pleased to know that he left knowing the Lord Jesus. I will pray for his family in their sorrow.
