David S. Bassham, 71, of Christiana, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mr. Bassham was born in Lester, AL to the late Thomas and Rosa Bassham. He was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ and had been in sales for International Harverster/Navistar and affiliates for 49 years. He enjoyed traveling with friends and watching his grandkids ball games and was an avid Lady Vols fan. Mr. Bassham was preceded in death by his parents, and son, David Andrew Bassham. He is survived by his wife Bettye Jo Bassham married 51 years; son, Rick (Tabitha) Bassham of Murfreesboro; daughter, Vickie Jo (Jonathon) McGuire of Murfreesboro; sister, Diane (Tommy) Watkins of Pulaski; brothers, Doug (Kathy) Bassham of Pulaski; Dale (Jenny) Bassham of Frank Ewing, TN; and nine grandchildren. He was loved and will be missed by all. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, March 17, 2013 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm and Monday, March 18, 2013 from 1:00pm until the Memorial service at 2:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. David Young officiating. In lieu of flowers family ask for donations to be made to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
