John Eugene Davenport, age 69, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 in Florida.
John was a graduate of MTSU with a Master Degree in Aerospace , retired from UPS, was a commercial pilot helping numerous people receive hours to achieve their commercial pilots license, was a master scuba diver, loved the outdoors, was adventurous without fear, a coin collector, and also collector of Civil War artifacts.
Preceded in death by parents Harold and Martha Davenport.
Survived by children Matthew (Nancy) Davenport, Lindsey Davenport, Sarah (Kyle) Murphy; siblings Karen (Charles) Atnip and Chuck Davenport; grandchildren Lena, Bennett Grace, Kyla, Matthew, Harper and Emerson and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Murfreesboro Municipal Airport, 1930 Memorial Blvd., Murfreesboro, TN. 37130 on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 4pm - 7pm. Interment will be held later in Gastonia, NC.
