Brother John was the man of God in my early life. It is because he asked me one day at the age of twelve that I gave my life to Jesus Christ and that has made all the difference. I remember his wonderful smile and laugh. He was compassionate and loving. He was also loved by the churches he served. So thankful for Brother John and Frances!

He was a very hard worker, even as he became elderly. He took good care of my mother over several years to keep her in the comfort of her home. He was so loving and patient with her. When they got to the nursing home, they spent their days together, usually holding hands.

I have nothing but fond memories of Brother John and Fran. He pastored the church I attended as a child and baptized me as well. We will be praying for peace and comfort for the family.

Q: What will you never forget about John?
A: He was the first pastor I ever remember as a 4yr or 5yr old little girl. And his church was the first in my life I remember attending. We were active as a family in the Missionary Baptist Church on Morgan Road, in Rockvale, TN. I loved being at church with Bro. Johnny Haynes and his family. My mother(Dorothy) was piano player and daddy (Doc) was teenage Sunday School Teacher. We frequently had the preacher and family for Sunday Dinner after church. Most of the Mosley family attended that little block church on Morgan Road. Greatest childhood memories with that man and his family.
