I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Pete Doughtie. I never met him, but I loved reading his newspaper columns. I know his son, Patrick, from the Murfreesboro Police Dept where I work in Records. My sympathies go out to his family.

To Kaye Doughtie,
We are Sorry to read in the Reader News that your husband Pete has passed on to Glory. Yes, he will be missed
by you and your complete family & many friends & business acquaintances. Even though we had never met Pete,
my wife Marcella had met you Kaye. About a year ago Marcella had talked to you about a Christian Urology for Jim her husband. You had recommended Dr. Greg Stewart. Jim went to him & everything went great, The Lord healed Jim & Dr. Stewart did the testing. Thank You!! Jim is the guy that picks up the "Reader News" at Doc's Automotive & takes about 12 to Senior Center here in Smyrna each week.
Kaye when you get lonesome for Pete, that is good time to get out the Picture Book & remember All the Great times
you & Pete had together. We as Christians don't have to Greave for Pete, because He is in Heaven with Jesus now.
The Bible states that average Life is three score plus ten equals 70 yrs. Anything over 70 is bonus years. Just think
Pete is walking the Streets of Gold with Jesus to the Mansion that Jesus had prepared for Pete. Now, No more Pain,
Worries, or Concerns. Now, It is All Peace, Jesus Love & Joy. for All Eternity.
Just remember, when thing don't go to good, Just Stop & Pray about it. The Holy Spirit is always there to Help you
though it All, regardless what it maybe. GOD still Loves You Kaye.
Christian Friends, Jimmy & Marcella Schultz of Smyrna. Coffeejim37167@gmail.com

May the God of Tender Mercies (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort family and friends of Robert. When the last enemy death (1 Corinthians 15:26) strikes grief may be great. God Almighty gives HOPE and PROMISE. All those in the memorial tombs will hear Jesus’ voice and COME OUT (John 5: 28,29). God will wipe OUT every tear from their eyes and Death will be NO MORE. Revelation 21:4. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Although I did not know Pete very well he was always a bright spot for me as I first met him in the Murfreesboro at noon Rotary club in 2004. He was such a great example of what a gentleman should be in a godly man should be.
I llift prayers up for all of his family, Kaye and children For the void that will be left in their lives.

We are so fortunate to have known this guy! I never called him Pete, and I can't start now. Mr. Doughtie is one of those people that could walk into a room full of strangers and walk out having left an impression on everyone in the room. He always made me laugh and always made me feel like I was world famous! My heart goes out to the Doughtie Men, Patrick, Keith, Lee and Jay, you guys had an awesome Dad and just a great man. You guys all share in those qualities. The first thing that comes to mind is Fearless, you guys are all fearless! Never to be forgotten, Mrs. Doughtie! As friends we will miss Mr. Doughtie, but I can't imagine how things are for Mrs. Doughtie. My Mom spent some time working for Mr. and Mrs. Doughtie at the paper. When she came home after being with the Doughties for an afternoon, she sounded like she was returning home from Oklahoma. Their Southern draw brought out the Okie in my Mom and being an Okie or from Oklahoma was something that she was very proud of. Praying for the Doughtie's, REST IN PEACE MR. DOUGHTIE!

Kaye and Family,
Nancy and I extend our Heartfelt condolences to you and your Family as you mourn the passing of our beloved Pete Doughtie. We feel honored and privileged to have met and known Pete as a Fellow Patriot, Veteran and Friend. We are grateful for all the efforts and sacrifices that Pete and your Family have made and contributed to the effort of dispensing Truth and dispelling deception.
Pete will be sorely missed by more than you'll ever know. The positive influence Pete has shared over the years, have cultivated many Conservative Patriots, ideals and Principles beyond measure.
We join in prayerful agreement for God's Blessings, Peace, Comfort, Strength and Guidance for each of you as you walk this difficult journey.
As Pete has so dedicated his Life to sharing Truth to inform and equip the masses, we wish to share God's Truths that provide a comfort, that is out of this World.
Trust in His promises as they are real and they remind us all, that our departed Loved Ones in Christ, live not only in our treasured memories, but in our Eternal inheritance and future as well !!!
I Thessalonians 4:13-18
13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.
14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
Jesus Christ .... The Wise Still Seek Him!
