Raymond Clayton Lester, Sr. was born July 18, 1932 in Richlands, VA and he passed away at his residence in Murfreesboro on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at the age of 83.
Mr. Lester was the son of James Harvey and Blumie Cruey Lester. He was a butcher and a veteran of the Korean War having served in the US Army. Mr. Lester was a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jesse William Lester, Sr.
Survivors include his wife Naomi Ruth Carson Lester of Murfreesboro, son, Clay (Tiffany) Lester, Jr. of Manchester; two daughters, Tammy Thompson of Albemarle, NC and Renee' Lester of Murfreesboro. Five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.
A memorial service will be held in North Carolina at a later time. Memorial Donation may be made to The Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org/donate
