Obituary of James William Taylor, Sr.

James William Taylor Sr., age 69, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. Mr. Taylor was born to William Wallace Taylor and Elizabeth Rew Taylor on September 20, 1946. He was a retired production manager at United Aluminum in North Haven, CT and EMS Volunteer. He was proud to serve as the first EMS Deputy Coordinator for the County of Schoharie in NY. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Loveless. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Mary Beth Taylor of Murfreesboro; his son James W. Taylor Jr. of Kingsbury, NY along with his significant other, Karen A. Anderson; three grandchildren, Zachary J. Taylor, Riley J. Taylor, and James W. Taylor III. Other relatives and friends also survive. As well as his beloved puppies. He was a native of CT, spent many years in upstate NY and retired to TN. He was blessed with eleven years of life following a heart transplant at MGH, Boston, MA. Donations in Jim's honor may be made to PAWS, Rutherford County, The Heart Association, or The Kidney Foundation. Memories and condolences may be shared at murfreesborofuneralhome.com. Per Mr. Taylor's request, visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Taylor residence 1929 Stoney Meadow Drive in Murfreesboro from 2pm until 4pm. Murfreesboro Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
