Kevin Ray Barrett, 45 of Christiana passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at his home. Kevin was born in Davidson county and a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. He was a longtime employee of the Rutherford County School System. Kevin was preceded in death by his son, Timmy Lee Barrett; grandparents, E.A. and Hazel Bowman; uncle, Powell Bowman. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Thompson of Christiana; son, Tyler Shane Barrett of Clarksville; brother, Randy (Tammy) Barrett of Nashville; sister, Danita (Jerry) Williams of Smyrna; aunts, Avis Wilson of Readyville and Virginia Wells of Christiana; nephews, Randy Barrett and Travis Adams. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 5:00 pm at Thyatira Cemetery with Bro. Steve Anderson officiating. Burial to follow. Pallbearers will be family.
