Obituary of Luther Elbert "Sonny" Campbell

Luther Elbert "Sonny" Campbell of Smyrna was born May 31, 1939 in Nashville, TN, and he passed away in Murfreesboro on Monday, August 3, 2015 at the age of 76.
Luther was the son of Maynard and Nora Lee Campbell. Mr. Campbell was a tractor mechanic, veteran of the US Navy and a member of the Church of Christ in Franklin, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Malcolm Campbell, Sr.; sister, Frances Alexander and his first wife Clara Lee Deal Campbell.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy O'Neal Campbell of Franklin, NC; son, Troy Campbell of Smyrna, two daughters, Patty Campbell of Longwood, FL and Pamela Cole of Murfreesboro, TN, eight grandchildren, Crystal, Cody, Tyler, Taylor, Brandon, Aubrey, Morgan and Hunter; two great grandchildren, Dustin and Dakota.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2015, 4-8 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted, Friday, August 7, 2015 at 11 am in the Chapel of Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Nickey Nichols and Bro. Radford Penland officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors.
