Obituary of Peggy Leigh Lanphere

Peggy Leigh Watts Lanphere was born August 23, 1948 in Pontotoc, MS and she passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at her residence in Murfreesboro at the age of 66 after a 4 yr battle with kidney cancer.
Peggy was the daughter of Roy and Mavis Clay Watts. She was a member of the Middle TN Baptist Church and worked in accounting at State Farm Insurance.
Peggy was preceded in death by her father, Roy Watts and sister, Pat Thompson.
Survivors include her husband, Roger M. Lanphere of Murfreesboro; two sons, Matthew and Cody Lanphere both of Murfreesboro; four grandsons, Kyle, Bailey, Conner and Keegan Lanphere all of Murfreesboro; three sisters, Barbara (Gary) Merritt, Shelia (Charles) Estess and Rhonda (Matt) Romito; mother Mavis Watts of Tupelo, MS; three nieces, Mandy, Kelly and Shanna and nephews, Adam and Kevin.
Visitation will be Friday, July 31, 2015, 4-8 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home and Saturday, August 1, 2015, 12-2 pm at Middle TN Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 2 pm at Middle TN Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Hutson officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Lanphere, Kevin Cooley, Tommy Bland, Adam Romito, Steve Golding and Jack Grick.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ingram Cancer Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
