Michael Rene' Peters was born February 6, 1958 in Riverside, California and he passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville at the age of 57.
Michael was the son of Jose' Rene' Peters and Barbara Elizabeth Davis Tolbert. Michael was a history buff and liked to spend time with his family. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Michael was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors included his mother, Barbara Tolbert of Murfreesboro; step-father, Freelin Tolbert of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Susan Huskey and Lori Peters both of Murfreesboro; half-brother, Joe Rene' Peters of Tuscon, Arizona, half sister, Monica Graham of Tuscon, Arizona; step-sisters, Bettye (Ronnie) Stewart, Sherri (Richard) Giard and Karen (Clay) Cox; nieces, Beth Huskey and Marie Christian both of Murfreesboro and nephew, David Peters of Murfreesboro.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2015, 11am to 1pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 1 PM in the chapel of Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro.Doug Hutchins and Bro. Wendell Hix officiating. Burial will follow in Bradley Creek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
