Obituary of Mary Catherine Harrell Brown

Mary C. Harrell Brown, age 88, passed away on March 23, 2015 at Community Care in Murfreesboro, TN. Mrs. Brown was born to Oscar Benton and Annie Justinia Dill Harrell on June 21, 1926 in Rutherford County. She was a Secretary for the VA Medical Center and a member of the Dilton Church of Christ. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Houston Brown, brothers and sisters, Christine Donnell, Raymond B. Harrell, William Harrell, Wesley Harrell, Cecil Harrell and Martha Harrell. Survivors include nieces and nephews, Norman Harrell of Knoxville, Billy Harrell of Christiana, Sammy and JoAnne Kelton of Dilton, TN, Faye and Johnny Richardson of Dilton, TN, Birdie Anne and Duane Grady of Murfreesboro and Debbie Harrell also of Murfreesboro. Many great nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Dilton Church of Christ with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm until the time of the service at 2:00 pm with Brother Jerry Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrell Family Cemetery in the Dilton Community of Rutherford County, TN. Pallbearers include Sammy Kelton, Shannon Lucinski, Jason Richardson, Homer Brown, Joshua Harrell and Tony Arnold. Honorary Pallbearers are Norm Harrell and Billy Harrell.
