Alvie "Peanut" Hasel Carter, age 82 of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, entered eternal rest with daughters present on January 28, 2015. Mr. Carter was born April 12, 1932 in Justice, West Virginia to George Cummings and Barbara Ellen Hackney Carter. Mr. Carter is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ezra and Paul L. Carter. Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Carter Hale (James) and Kimberly Carter-Kitzmiller (Matthew) both of Murfreesboro, brother Glen Carter of Justice, West Virginia, sister Dorothy Lester of Gaffney, South Carolina, three grandchildren, Manoah Williams, Jerika Hale Lloyd (Jeff) and Jamyson Hale. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm in the chapel with Rev. Douglas Hawkins officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Murfreesboro.
