Mr. Robert Raymond Mattox was born in New Castle, PA on December 18, 1932 and he passed away at his residence in Murfreesboro on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the age of 82.
Mr. Mattox was the son of the late Raymond Earl and Grace Edna Webster. He was a retired MST SGT serving in the US Army. Mr. Mattox was married to Margaret Elizabeth Ring Mattox who survives.
Mr. Mattox was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Tammy Lynn Jeffers.
Mr. Mattox is survived by his wife, Margaret Mattox; 4 Sons, Robert Mattox Jr. Portland OR, James W. Mattox, Castle Rock, CO; Troy Miller of El Paso, TX and Brent Miller of Lebanon, TN. 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, special friends Allan, Niki, Ainsley and Kelsey Vender of Murfreesboro.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 22, 2015 1-3 PM at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with memorial service at 3 PM in the Chapel of Murfreesboro Funeral Home with full military honors Allan Venter will conduct the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sarah Cannon Cancer Clinic.
