Leona Manning, 77 of Murfreesboro, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Baptist Hospital. Mrs. Manning was born in East Gulf, WV to the late Bernard and Ora Payne. She was a longtime resident of Detroit, Michigan having moved to Murfreesboro in 1997 to be with her family. Mrs. Manning was a member of World Outreach Church.
Mrs. Manning was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Cynthia Gail Manning and brother, Bernard Payne. She is survived by her husband, Don Manning; son, Dwayne (Linda) Manning of Rockvale; daughter, Debbie (Dale) Utterback of Murfreesboro; brother, Charles Payne of Kansas City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Andrew and Brian Manning, Matthew and Emily Utterback; one great grandchild, Lauren Manning.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, December 20, 2010 from 5 pm until 8 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 1 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Jackson officiating. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
