Merle Lee Lowe, age 81, of Murfreesboro, passed away Monday, December 06, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Born in Coffee County, TN she was a longtime resident of Murfreesboro. Funeral service will be for family only. Mrs. Lowe was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Grady Haggard and Ethel Farrar Haggard; husband, James David Lowe. Mrs. Lowe is survived by her daughters, Kathryn (Donnie) Freeze of Manchester, Joy Lowe of Murfreesboro, Jan (Rick) Girard of Anchorage, Alaska; sons, Jim (Brenda) Lowe and Tim (Robin) Lowe both of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Amy (Dave) Clark, Amanda Murray, Rebecca Girard, Matthew Lowe, Justin Lowe, Amber Potts and Blake Potts; great grandchildren, Ethan, Abby, Beau, Riley, Andrew and Haley; sister, Jewell Murphy of Viola. Memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
