Obituary of Terry Hasting

Terry W. Hasting, Sr, 62, of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 at Middle TN Medical Center. Mr. Hasting was born in Lewisburg, TN to the late William Howard Hasting and Mary Louisa Tipper Hasting. He is a devoted current member of Third Baptist Church and was a longtime member of Lewisburg First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joy Murdock. He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years Alice R. Flye Hasting; daughters, Melanie Hasting (Jeff) Walters of Louisville, KY and Tammy Hasting (Scott) Adams of Murfreesboro; son, Terry W. Jr (Lola) Hasting of Atlanta, GA; seven grandchildren, Rachel Walters, Jeffrey Walters, Daniel Walters, Ben Adams, John Adams, Grant Adams and Chloe Mae Hasting; brothers, Billy (Brenda) Hasting of Cornersville, TN, Larry (Ann) Hasting of Lewisburg, TN; sister, Eulonde Estes of Lewisburg, TN and Carolyn Sue Watson of Fayetteville, TN. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:30 pm Sunday, October 24, 2010 at Third Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Lee officiating. A graveside service will be Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11:00 am at Short Cemetery in Marshall County with Pastor Paul Woodford and Pastor Tom Dumser officiating. Pallbearers will be Andy Estes, Chris Estes, John Watson, Mike Murdock, Tom Sumners and Russell Caughron. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Tennessee Baptist Disaster Relief, PO Box 728, Brentwood, TN 37024. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
