Sible G. Richards, 73, of La Vergne, passed away Friday, August 20, 2010 at her residence due to her illness of cancer. Mrs. Richards was born in Pea Ridge, TN to the late William Jesse and Minnie Mae Whitefield. She was a member of the Baptist Faith. Everyone that knew her loved her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, our best friend, and will be dearly missed by all.
Mrs. Richards was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Don Richards; Bill Watkins; daughter, Wanda Lowe; brothers, William and Larney Whitefield. She is survived by her sons, Ronald (Katie) Watkins of Demopolis, AL; William (Rebecca) Watkins of Murfreesboro; daughters, Sherry (Tom Ryan) Dalton of Warner Robins, GA; Patty Weaks of Gaffney, SC; Brenda (Melvin) Gray of La Vergne; Vickie (Walt) Flora of Milton; 24 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; sisters, Mabel Duncan of Dixon Springs; Kathleen Luffman of Murfreesboro; brother, William Jesse Whitefield of Smyrna; special niece and nephew, Charles and Nancy Luffman of Smyrna.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, August 21, 2010 from 2:00pm - 8:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Sunday, August 22, 2010 at 1:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Tyson and Bro. Mark Segrove officiating. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
