Our son, Sam, was in boot camp with Vincent and introduced us to him at graduation. Sam thought of Vincent as a good friend. He even mentioned that he and Vincent were going to try to get together at some point since Vincent used to travel upstate NY way. Our son was very saddened to learn of the sad news of your son's death. Sam is stationed in Okinawa, Japan as I write this. I send my sincerest sympathies and prayers for you and your family. It saddens my heart to hear of the loss of another one of our men in service. It saddens me it was Vincent. I can only imagine and hope I never have to find out what you are sure to be going through. My parents lost their son, my brother, in a car accident when he was 19 years old. He was enrolled in college in ROTC and preparing to enter the Air Force to serve one day too. His time, too, came too early. I have seen and lived through what my parents have been through. No parent should have to bury their child.
