Walter Hillis, 76, of Murfreesboro passed away Monday, July 26, 2010 at Community Care of Rutherford County. Mr. Hillis was born in Grundy County to the late Jesse and Katherine Hillis. He was a Maintanence Foreman at Chromolox and a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Hillis was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty Jean Hillis. He is survived by his sons, Walter M. Hillis of Murfreesboro; Jimmy (Theresa) Hillis of Bell Buckle; daughter, Wendy (Barry) Bowman of Milton; 5 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
Private graveside service was held Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors.
