Irma Marie Obermeyer, 89, of Murfreesboro, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007 at her home. A native of Buffalo, New York she obtained a nursing and public health degree. She was a supervisor of visiting nurses before becoming a homemaker. She was a member of the Congretional United Church of Christ UCC in Punta Gorda, Florida where she and her husband also have a home in the Seminale Lakes Country Club.
Mrs. Obermeyer is preceded in death by her parents, George and Dora Bayer Wagenbaur. She is survived by her husband, John F. Obermeyer Jr of Murfreesboro; daughter, Barbara (Ervin) Retzlaff of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Andrew Retzlaff, Jordan Retzlaff and Jennifer Retzlaff all of Murfreesboro; step children, Kenneth Obermeyer, Debra (David) Kiecher; step grandchildren, Amiee Boone and Michell Bodie; step great grandchild, Anthony Boone, all of Buffalo, NY; cousin, Wayne (Nancy) Wagenbaur of Richmond, VA.
Graveside services will be Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 10:00 am at the Evangelical Protestant Cemetery in New York.
The family asks memorial donations be made to the Congretional United Church of Christ UCC, 1201 Aqui Esta Drive, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
