Obituary of Paul Terrell

Paul Anthony Terrell, 49, of Murfreesboro, a beloved husband, father, Papa, brother, son and uncle passed away on June 17, 2010 in Afghanistan at Camp Phoenix, serving as a civilian contractor. He was born to Richard Autry Terrell and Elizabeth (Torres) Middaugh-Brockus in Springfield, MO on August 7, 1960. He was a 1978 graduate of Hollister High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1978-1998 achieving the rank of E-6 during which time he met and married his best friend and love of his life, Vicki Diane. Paul loved life, his family and most especially his family and friends. A sailor, adventurer, lover of life, he along with his wife, traveled in their boat "Little Jeanne" from Virginia to the Bahamas and set anchor in the Florida Keys where they were members of St. Peter Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, William J. Middaugh and in-laws, Arthur E. Dorsett of Little Rock, AR and Carol and Bill Brown of Delaware, AR. He is survived by his wife Vicki and two granddaughters, Angelina Diane and Nevaeh Marie (of the home); his daughter, Jeanne Marie Hughes of Quitman, MS; his mother, Elizabeth Brockus, Springfield, MO; four sisters, Norma Watson (Tracy) of Rogers, AR, Susan Brown (Rick) of Forsyth, MO, Linda Pama of Pahala, HI, Bernadette Terrell of Brookings, SD; 3 sister-in-laws, Cindy Perez (Joe) Lavergne, TN; Terri White (Jeff), Highland Village, TX; Jeanne Hunt (Paul), Conway, AR; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends.
Visitatin with the family will be Monday, June 28, 2010 from 9:00am until the mass at 10:00am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Mark officiating. Full military honors to follow. A memorial service will be held at a later date to return his ashes to the sea in the Florida Keys with Father Tony presiding. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude and Feed the Children.
