I was a very close friend of Norm's in the mid 1970's. I graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School in 1975 and played on their tennis team. Norm played tennis regularly with his old Army buddy Donny Singleton, Tom Buelow, Mark Esslinger and myself. He used to pick me up on weekends and we would travel and play at area tennis tournaments. It was a 'big deal' for me, a high school kid to get to spend time with Norm and these older guys playing the sport we all loved. Although I moved to California 30 years ago to attend law school I have often fondly remembered the times I spent with these guys playing tennis in Indiana . It was with great sadness today that I learned from my highschool friend, Mary Cooper of Norm's death. I offer Norm's wife and children my heartfelt sympathies. Michael Johnson

I taught marketing at Mt. Vernon H.S. for 15 years and was very privileged to know Norm as an excellent and caring teacher and as a friend. He always talked about his family with much love and devotion. I am sorry I did not know he was ill...always thought of him in Florida with Sue on his sailboat. You are all in my prayers as you grieve this great loss. May God give you His strength and comfort.

To the Turner Family: We were truly saddened to learn of Norm's death. We have many good memories of teaching and working with him in the Teachers' Association. He was so sharp and witty! I (vicki) loved the way Norm was able to see behind an issue or problem and tell the real issue or problem. He read life and the humans trying to live it. Please accept our sympathy. Ave atque Vale, Amice! Natalee, that says "Hello and goodbye, Friend." Catullus said this at the graveside of his brother and it carries so much love and sadness.

To the Turner Family, Norm Turner was one of "those" teachers. Dedicated and blessed with the ability to relate to his students. His name is always one of very few whenever I recall memorable teachers that made a difference in my education. Please accept my condolences.

Dear Mrs. Turner and family, I am sorry to hear of your loss. I was a student of Mr. Turner's in '77 &'78. He was a good teacher, and had a good sense of humor. God bless him. May you and your family find peace in the days to come.

To the Turner family. I was sorry to read of your loss today and had no idea that Mr. Turner was even ill. We just went through that process with my Father-in-law. I was student of Mr. Turner. I was in DECA @ PCHS. I graduated in 1974. He was a great teacher. He loved his students and his work. We will be praying for you as you grieve this great loss.

We hope to be able to attend the service at our church and see the family members at that time. I always enjoyed the banter and wit that was often shared by Norm with the rest of us. I enjoy seeing the kids as they are all grown up as accomplished adults. Your family has our condolence. A fine man who left us way too soon. Milt
