Earlene Pirtle, 80, of Murfreesboro passed away Friday, May 14, 2010 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mrs. Pirtle was born in Cromwell, KY to the late Pete and Carrie Mae Goff. She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, Magnificent Magnolias Red Hat Society and worked at Wal-Mart.
Mrs. Pirtle was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marie Goff; brothers, Everett and Reathel Goff. She is survived by her husband, Sam Pirtle; daughters, Carrie (Jeff) Platt of Murfreesboro; Kelly (Kelly) Hester of Beech Grove; grandchildren, Natalie Hester; Brian Hester; brother, Cecil Goff of Bowling Green, KY; sister, Juanita Proffitt of Owensboro, KY; many nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Celebration of Life will be Monday, May 17, 2010 at 11:00am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Clardy and Rev. Martha Touchton officiating. Graveside service will be Monday, May 17, 2010 at 3:30pm at Sunnyside Cemetery in Beaver Dam, KY.
