Though it has been many many years since I last seen Dot, she has always been in my heart and fondest memories as our families grew up together. My deepest condolences go out to all the remaining Baird family and especially to you Clint. Dot will be greatly missed by all that knew her but her memories will live on through all of us.

Clint, I really am sorry for your loss. Mrs. Baird was a really fine lady. I knew her from Walter Hill School. You and your family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Just leave everything in God's hands and everything will be okay. If you need anything, please let me know. I do know what you are going through.

Clint, J.D., Brian and Families - I hope you know how much I loved Dot. She was another Mother to me. She was always there for me, Don, and my boys. I talked to her often, but regret that I did not get to see her as much as I should have. I wish I had known she was sick that last week. The last time I talked with her, she was the best she had been in a while. I will miss her terribly, as I know you will. I told her often that I loved her and I am glad I did. I was blessed to know her and be cared for by her. She taught me much and was a special influence in many areas of my life. There is an awful hole in my world.

Clint and Family, You may not know me but I'm sure you know my dad Wayne Smotherman. I was honored to have your mother as a teacher at Walter Hill. She was a precious lady and wonderful teacher and we were blessed to be taught by her. She will truly be missed. From my family to yours, our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
