Obituary of Ethel Knight

Ethel Green Knight 93, made her transition on February 22, 2010 at her home in Bell Buckle, TN. Mrs. Knight was the youngest of nine children born to the late James and Sara Jane Green in Canonsburg, PA on April 8, 1916. Her family had the privilege of enjoying her spirited character through multiple generations. Ethel survived the Great Depression, worked tirelessly during WWII, raised a family, and spent many years in service to Meals on Wheels. She was a much beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Mrs. Knight was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Byron "Buck" Knight in 2007; sister and lifelong best friend, Mary Elzada Williams; brothers, Edward, Clarence, George, Kenneth, Harry, Fredrich, and Joseph Green. She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Charles) Borchert. She was also blessed with wonderful grandchildren, David (Kim) Bove; Jim (Yoko) Bove; Jennifer Gee; Shane and Lance Borchert. She cherished the time spent with her great-granddaughters, Alexandra Barnett; Lisa and Hailey Bove. The celebration of her life will be held in March at the home of Jim Bove in Washington, PA. Her remains will be interred by her beloved husband at Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church in Canonsburg, PA.
