Obituary of Sandra Horton

Sandra "Sandie" Ward Horton, 38, of Murfreesboro, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Mrs. Horton was a native of Orlando, FL and a 1989 graduate of West Orange High School of Winter Garden, FL. Prior to her illness beginning in 2007, she was employed by Dr. Carson Taylor as a Dental Assistant for 14 years and she was a member of the Baptist Faith. Sandra is survived by her husband of 19 years, Greg Horton; son, Drew Horton; parents, Larry and Wilma Ward of Murfreesboro; sisters, Sheila (Tom) Nattress of Murfreesboro; Sheryl (Sean) Williams of Bell Buckle; father and mother-in-law, David and Brenda Horton of Lascassas; two nieces; three nephews; two great nephews; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and many friends. Visitation with the family will be Friday, February 12, 2010 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 2:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. W.D. Thomason officiating. Burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Dan Gilchrist, Tim Lokey, Rick Morris, Brad Perry, Lynn Windrow, Brad Nattress, Jared Nattress, and Chris Horton. Memorials in memory of Sandra may be made to Sandra D. Horton trust fund at Suntrust Bank or Melanoma Research Foundation.
