James William "Mailbox" Lewis, age 90, of Murfreesboro, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Stones River Manor. Mr. Lewis was born in Knox County, TN to the late Sidney and Eloy Stella Lewis. He was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ and a veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents and great great granddaughter, Andrea Jones. He is survived by his wife, Wilma J. Lewis of Murfreesboro ; daughters, Patricia Diane Dauer; Christine Elaine Jernigan; Ella Jane Bloodworth all of Goodlettsville; Frankie Lynette Campbell of Bethpage; Sheila Kay Osborne of Knoxville; son, James Steven Lewis of Hendersonville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; step children, Eddie Tune of Smyrna; and Judy Buckley of Brentwood.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 11:00am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. David Young and Bro. Kirk Mason officiating. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens
Memorials may be made to Stones River Manor.
