Obituary of Rodney Rigsby

Rodney Rigsby, 62, of Antioch, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas. Mr. Rigsby was a native and life-long resident of Davidson County. He retired from AVCO after 38 years of employment. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired from the Tennessee Army National Guard. He loved the water, being on his pontoon boat and riding his motorcycle. Mr. Rigsby was preceded in death by his father Billy Rigsby. He is survived by his wife Vickie Rigsby of Antioch; mother, Juhree Rigsby of Smyrna; daughter, Tammy (Wayne) Adkins of Murfreesboro; sons, Mike Rigsby of Murfreesboro; Keith Rigsby of Franklin; Kevin Rigsby of Murfreesboro; grandchildren; Aeron Rigsby; Chase Rigsby; Mack Adkins; Cameron Adkins; Douglas Adkins; brother, Ricky Rigsby of Smyrna; sister, Darlene Murphy of Plano, TX; and step-sister, Anita Robertson. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Monday, November 16, 2009 from 11:00am - 2:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, November 16, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Evans officiating. Burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors.
