James Edward "Jim" Bullard., age 81, of Murfreesboro, passed away Saturday, May 07, 2011 at TN Valley Health Care System York Campus. Mr. Bullard was born in Chattanooga, TN to late James Andrew and Mary Jane Bullard. He was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. He was raised to Mastor Mason in La Rochell, France in 1955, in 1975 was raised to Scottis Rite in Frankford, Germany, and in 1968 raised to Shriner in Manila Phillipines. He retired from United States Air Force in 1968 and after his retirement from the Air Force he worked in electrical sales for Neals Electric Supply, Sies Electric Supply and Murfreesboro Electric Supply. He also did dealer transfers for Stones River Motors. Mr. Bullard was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Naomi Arnold, and brother, Ben Bullard. He is survived by his wife, Melba Bullard; daughters, Tanya B. (Drew) Lane of Shelbyville; Mary Euphenia (Kirk) Jakes and Carla Perkins both of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Grayson Lane; Felicia and Chad Jakes; sister, Gladys Lowry of Manchester; and nephew, Jeff Lowry of Lubbock, TX. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 10:00am at Middle Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Horne and Jeff Lowry officiating and with Full Military Honors. Family ask for donations to be made to the National Parkinson's Association or the charity of your choice.
