Walt Honeycutt Obituary

Walt Honeycutt, 90 of Murfreesboro, passed away Friday, November 06, 2009 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mr. Honeycutt was a native of Modesto, CA, he was the son of the late William Rodger and Bessie Mae Honeycutt. He was a WWII United States Marine Veteran. He retired from Carnation Plant in Murfreesboro and was a founding member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He loved fishing, cheering on sports team and spending time with his family.



Mr. Honeycutt was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Russell Honeycutt. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Margaret Ruth Bugg Honeycutt; children, Kenneth (Kimberly) Honeycutt, Susan (Ray) Robinson, Pamela (Tommy) Barrett, Jimmy Honeycutt, Cindy (Randy) Rae; sisters, Mary Gray and Mildred Haley; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.



Visitation with the family will be Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home.



Funeral service will be Monday, November 9, 2009 at 11:30 am at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors.
