Obituary of Lori Douglas

Lori Douglas, 19, of Christiana passed Friday, September 11, 2009 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Lori was a native of Murfreesboro and a 2009 graduate of Riverdale High School. She was Commander of the JROTC Female Raider Team and a member of the Rutherford County Sherriff's Explorers Program. Lori attended Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Kingdom Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Lori was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard J. and Dot Douglas. She is survived by her father, Richard "Ricky" Douglas Jr of Midland Community; mother, Lynn Smith of Christiana; sister, Jessica Lachance of Woodbury; brothers, Richard "Ritchy" (Jennifer) Douglas of Soddy Daisy and Leland Douglas of Christiana; grandparents, Clarence and Flora Smith of Christiana; nieces, Abby and Ashtyn; aunts and uncles, John and Teresa Schmidt of Christiana, Frank and Sandra Heaton of Midland community, Chase and Nona Douglas of Murfreesboro; several cousins. Family will receive friends Monday, September 14, 2009 at 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Rev. Joyce Merritt and Rev. Eddie Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Whitworth Cemetery. Dream as if you will live forever, live as if you will die today.
