George Richard Maxson, age 81, of Murfreesboro, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007, at his home. He was a native of New Carlisle, OH and retired from Fruehauf. Mr. Maxon was preceded in death by his parents, George A. and Susan Barnhart Maxson; wife, Eleanor Short Maxson; sister, Mary Lou Cox.
Mr. Maxon is survived by his son, Steve (Sue) Maxson of Franklin; daughters, Georgia (Mike) Summers of Marquette, MI and Becky Coner of Chesepeake, VA; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dusty) Thornton, Cory (Jennifer) Summers, Scott (Jennifer) Coner and Jeff Coner; great grandchildren, Kamden and Justin Summers and soon to be great grandchild, Emerson Thornton; sister, Magie (Harry) Sheets of New Carlisle, OH
A private Memorial Service was held at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Brooks officiating. Burial to follow at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. Those wishing may send condolences online at www.murfreesborofuneralhome.com.
