Obituary of Michele Elliott

Michele Komorowski Elliott, age 41, of Smyrna, passed away May 19, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Saddlebrooke, New Jersey to the late Kenneth and Virginia Lee Bailey Komorowski. Michele is survived by her husband, Steven Elliott; son, Dillon Elliott; brother, Michael and his wife April Komorowski of Cranston, RI; grandmother, Deloris Bailey of Abilene, TX; niece, Amanda Komorowski. A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 24, 2009 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Dan Parker conducting. The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Michele served as the Town of Smyrna Attorney and was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. She was admitted to practice law in the state courts of Texas and Tennessee, and before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the Texas Supreme Court, and the Tennessee Supreme Court. She was a former member of the American Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association Death Penalty Amicus Committee, the Associate Board of Directors for the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Board of Directors for the Women's Center of East Texas. She was a current member of the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, the International Municipal Lawyers Association, the MTAS Advisory Committee, the Rutherford County Bar Association, and the Tennessee Municipal League.
