Jeanie Watkins, 53 of Christiana, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Veterans Hospital. Jeanie retired from Alvin C. York Veterans Hospital, attended World Outreach Church and was a veteran of the United States Army. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and sister and will be missed by all. Jeanie is preceded in death by her father, Ernest Parks and her son, Christopher David Watkins. She is survived by her husband, Buzz Watkins; mother, Divia Parks; daughter and son in law, Terri and Jeff McWhorter of Christiana; grandchildren, Brady and Jessica McWhorter; foster grandchild, Jacquiline Shaver; two brothers, James Parks of Gallatin and Donnie Parks of California; sister, Patricia Parks of Winchester. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 24, 2009 beginning at 5:00 pm until the Celebration of Life service at 7:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
