Dixie Magee, 68, passed away Monday, February 02, 2009 at her home in Murfreesboro. She was born in McComb, MS to the late Walter and Mildred Hudson. Mrs. Magee was a member of the 38 Avenue Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, MS and a homemaker. Mrs. Magee is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Judy McKaskill and Jackie Walton. She is survived by her husband, Hosea Magee; daughters and sons in laws, Debbie and Bill Mainord of Mt. Juliet, Donna and Van Moffatt of Brentwood, Deidra Coates of Westmoreland, Melissa and Bob Griffey of Murfreesboro, Melanie and Keith McKnight of Mt. Juliet; grandchildren, Matthew and Maranda Coates, Jessica Fuson, Scott Mainord, Olivia Griffy, Erin and Grace Moffatt, Garrett and Brandon McKnight; great grandchildren, Carson Coates and Jason Mainord; nieces, Jan, Tracy, Anita, Diane, Nancy, Sue; brother, Paul D. Hudson of McComb, MS; sister, Sallie King of Mobile, AL. The celebration of life service will be 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Darryl Lewis officiating. Burial to be in Hollywood Cemetery in McComb, MS. Pallbearers will be nephews, Steve and Stacey McKaskill, Grady Jr, Keith and David Smith, Lewis Guy and Warner Hudson. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Wednesday at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. The family asks memorial donations be made to Alive Hospice, 1639 Medical Center Pkwy, Suite 202, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.
