Obituary of Roger Mankin

Roger C. "Cuz" Mankin, 44, of Bell Buckle, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Middle TN Medical Center. He was a native of Murfreesboro, a 1984 graduate of Community High School and was of the Church of Christ faith. Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Mankin Barton; father, Grover "Bud" Mankin Jr.; step father, Howard H. Barton; brother, John Phillip Mankin. He is survived by his grandmother, Dewey Gaither of Midland; sisters, Teresa (Randy) Jolly of Murfreesboro and Rhonda Campbell of Bell Buckle; step sisters, Penny Hart, Tammy Comstock and Bonny Barton; nephews and niece, Quentin and Eric Campbell, Whitney Jolly Sparkman; great niece and nephew, Alexa Sparkman, Jordan Sparkman; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A special thanks to JoAnn Payne for her love and care. Graveside service will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Smotherman Cemetery with Bro. Darryl Lewis officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to West Main Mission or Room at the Inn.
