Michael Cotner, 61 of Smyrna passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Veterans Hospital. Mr. Cotner was born in Elizabethtown, KY to the late Avery Dugan and Jesse Louise Cotner. He was a member of Trinity Christian Church and worked as a FFA Aircraft Mechanic after retiring with the rank SSG of the United States Army.
Mr. Cotner was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Linda Cotner of Smyrna; daughters, Jennifer Cotner (Tracy) Collier of LaVergne; Katherine (Jose) Olivo of Smyrna; Laura (Steve) McCormick of Smyrna; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Rebecca Sue (Ron) Evans of California; and Betty Ann Jackson of Oregon.
Graveside service will be Monday, December 15, 2008 at 10:00 am at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors. Chaplain Marshall Gupton officiating.
