I could not find the right words to say to you all today at Hannah's funeral. I, much like everyone else that knew her, have not been able to really get a grip on why this has happened to such a young sweetie. I know that you all have comfort in knowing that she is indeed in a better place, but being there today reminded me of the warmth that your family extends to everyone, even complete strangers. I discovered that when I helped take care of Miss Dorothy, and I was always consoled by that feeling of acceptance from you all. I know that your family is by far the most amazing family that I met in my years in hospice. And I know that gives you each comfort and peace. I wish that this wasn't reason that I was reminded of how you all take care of each other and others. But it was inspiring to see how you held each other up and I feel that I have been privileged to have been witness to such love. Hannah was a beautiful child, and regardless of whatever uncomfortable moments she and Caitlyn had, Caitlyn loved Hannah. And I enjoyed when she was visiting us. I am so very remorseful for your loss. Much love and sympathy, Christie Long
