Dorothy Mai Maupin Scott, 80, of Murfreesboro, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Scott was a native and life-long residence of Rutherford County. She was a homemaker and a member of Eagleville Baptist Church. Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her parents, John D. and Mable Maupin; brother, Ollie B. Maupin and her first husband, John Oscar Tune and her second husband, S.D. Scott. She is survived by her daughters, Juanita (Roy) Davenport of Murfreesboro; Corrine (James) Walden of Murfreesboro; sisters, Mary Ruth Fulton of Murfreesboro; Mildred Briley of Murfreesboro; Marion Haynes of Franklin; Carlene Huff of Murfreesboro; brothers, J.D. Maupin of Murfreesboro; James Maupin of College Grove; Thomas Maupin of Murfreesboro; Freland Maupin of Rockvale; grandchildren; Vicky Ladd, Roy "Boo" Davenport, Dale Davenport, Jenny Kay Davenport Myers, Tina Mangrum, Chrissy Mangrum, Jamie Walden, Yvonne McKinley, Duncan Howse and several great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Friday, November 21, 2008 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 1:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Duncan Howse speaking. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
