Reid E. Dicks Jr., 83, of Smyrna, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at StoneCrest Medical Center. Mr. Dicks was born in St. Petersburgh, FL to the late Dr. Reid E. Dicks, Sr. and Sarah Dicks. He was a member of Trinity Christian Church and was retired from the United States Air Force.
Mr. Dicks was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Stephanie C. Weeks, two brothers, and three sisters. He was survived by his wife, Mary M. Lathan Dicks of Smyrna; daughters, Pamela Wiser of Smyrna; Felicia Gallagher of Indiana; sister, Jonnie Mae Coriglia of Florida; grandchildren, Laura Chance of Murfreesboro; Erin Weeks of Smyrna; Emily Hyde of Virginia Beach, VA; Carl Weeks III of Texas; and great grandchild, Levi Chance.
Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, September 9, 2014 from 4:00pm until the Funeral Service at 6:00pm at Trinity Christian Church, 1429 Lee Victory Parkway, Smyrna, TN, with Rev. Marshall Gupton officiating. Graveside service will be Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 9:00am at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers family ask for donations to be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
