Angela Gladys Gomes, age 72, of Murfreesboro, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at St Thomas West Hospital. Mrs. Gomes was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Gaetanl and Frances Maida. Mrs. Gomes was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Gomes of Murfreesboro; son, Jerry Gomes Jr. of Christiana; daughters, Victoria Petilli of Rochester, NY; Jennifer Figorito of Long Island, NY; brothers, Charles Maida of South Carolina; Michael Maida of Connecticut; and eight grandchildren
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 10:00am until the funeral service at 1:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Bro. Wendell Hix officiating. Entombment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers family asks for donations be made to The National Fibromyalgia Association, www.fmaware.org, National Breast Cancer, www. nationalbreastcancer.org, or Spastic Paraplegia Foundation, www.sp-foundation.org.
