George Franklin Cavitt, 67 of Murfreesboro passed away, Thursday, March 31, 2011 at his residence. Mr. Cavitt was born in Cleveland , TN to the late Lee and Bonnie Cavitt and was retired from the United States Army.
Mr. Cavitt was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kathryn Cavitt Pratt, sister, Virginia Stevenson and brothers, Jack and William Kelley. He is survived by his wife, Pamela J. Cavitt of Murfreesboro; sons, Michael V. Cavitt of Lenoir City; George F. Cavitt Jr. of Murfreesboro; grandchild, Mikayla Cavitt; brothers, James Meeks of Cleveland; Richard Cavitt of Smyrna; and Jerry Cavitt of Chattanooga.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, April 02, 2011 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Jim Rush Funeral Home Wildwood Chapel in Cleveland, TN with Full Military Honors to follow.
