Hazel Irene Knapp, 82, of Murfreesboro, passed away Monday, August 25, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Knapp was born in Hancock, New York to the late Albert D. and Hazel Irene Hoagland. She was a bus driver for Goshen Central School System in New York and attended Rockvale Church of God in Rockvale, TN. Mrs. Knapp was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Helen Hoagland. She is survived by her husband Bob Knapp Sr. of Murfreesboro; son, Warren (Poppy) Carr of Murfreesboro; daughters, Lynn( Johnny) Essary of Bell Buckle; Wendy (Eugene) Adams of Nashville; Yvonne (Bob) Knapp Jr. of Murfreesboro; sister, Vesta (Vincent) Whitmore of Tampa, FL; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation with the family will be Friday, August 29, 2008 from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be Friday, August 29, 2008 at 5:30pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Michael Williams officiating. Memorial donations be made to Rockvale Elementary School Library in c/o Wendy Adams, 948 Colfax Drive, Nashville, TN 37214.
