Willie Joe Smith, 83, of Christiana, passed away Saturday, May 03, 2014 at St. Thomas of Rutherford Hospital. Mr. Smith was born in Westminster, SC to the late Joe Frank and Birdie Smith. He was a MTSU graduate with degrees in Agriculture and Accounting and retired with USAF.
He is survived by his wife of sixty two years, Elizabeth Smith; brothers, Clenton Smith of NC and Clifton Smith of VA. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, May 06, 2014 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. No service to be held.
