Ruth Watson, 86, of Murfreesboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 02, 2014 at NHC. She was a native and longtime resident of Rutherford County. She was a member of the Baptist Church and a graduate of Knox Business College where she obtained her LPN license. She worked for Dr. Edmund Allen and later retired from the office of Dr. E.P. Odom.
Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Houston Vaughter and Fruzie Anna Wrather Vaughter; husband, Charles William Watson; sisters, Janie White, Mary Hayes, Maggie Bennett and Elise McKee; brothers, Andrew, Carl, David and Eugene Vaughter. She is survived by her daughter, Sabrina Watson of Murfreesboro; sister, Ollie (Nevin) Christensen of Austin, TX; sisters and brothers in law, Mabel (Gene) McCall of Murfreesboro, Peggy Young of Huntsville, AL and Robert L. Watson of Lebanon, TN; Freida Watson of Murfreesboro; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be Monday, May 5, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Richard Paddon officiating with burial to follow.
