Robert Ray "Pops" Merritt, 47, of Murfreesboro, Passed away Saturday, April 12, 2104 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rayburn Ray and Frances Elizabeth Simpson Merritt and grandparents, Robert and Fannie Simpson. He is survived by his wife, Kerri Michelle Merritt; sons, Devin Ray Merritt, Dustin Chase Merritt and Stephen Reid Welch; daughter, Maleeya Merritt, all of Murfreesboro. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 11:00 am until the Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Pastor David Humphrey officiating.
